Shazaib Hussain finished his training contract on 31 December 2020 and has been admitted to the Roll of Solicitors on 2 February 2021. He takes up a position as a solicitor within our team with immediate effect.
Shazaib joined Elaahi & Co Solicitors as a paralegal in July 2018, when the firm was set up, and began his training contract with the firm in December 2018. During his training contract, Shazaib has worked on extremely challenging asylum cases, assisted victims of human trafficking, helped clients regularise their stay in the UK based on their family and private life and brought judicial review actions against the Home Office. He has shown a real commitment to cases which are emotionally and intellectually challenging. Whilst building on complex legal arguments, Shazaib has always taken time out to show kindness to his clients and to help them to understand where in the legal process they stand. This is extremely important because many of our clients are vulnerable and English is not their first language.
Over the last two years, Shazaib has matured into a fearless lawyer who will fight for his clients – exactly the kind of person we want on our team!
