What do you love about your work?
I simply love bringing a smile to someone’s face by helping them through what is often the most challenging period of their life. And for the last 19 years, that has been my life’s greatest honour and privilege.
What makes us different from other law firms?
We care about people. People are the most important part of our business; whether that includes those who come to us for help with their problems, those we work with professionally or those who are a part of our team.
What do you enjoy doing when you are not working?
I enjoy doing absolutely nothing during those few and far between hours of free time which come my way!
What’s the next thing on your bucket list?
To provide pro bono legal advice and assistance to those facing the death penalty in Pakistan.
What makes someone a hero?
For me, heroes aren’t just people who save the world. They are also those ordinary individuals who find the courage to save themselves, their families or their communities. I meet such heroes every day – from clients who walk out of violent relationships or escape torture and human trafficking to the counsellors, doctors, social workers and refuge centre staff members who try to heal them.
